MJ Donovan
Mary Jill Donovan graduated from the College of Mount St. Joseph in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and continued on to the University of Cincinnati College of Law where she graduated in 2001.
MJ originally began her journey down the legal path in 1987 when she joined the City of Cincinnati Police Department. While with the Department, MJ served as a Police Officer in Over-the-Rhine, West End, Winton Terrace, Clifton, Camp Washington and Northside. During this time, she became the first woman assigned to the Traffic Unit as a Vehicular Homicide Investigator. After five years with the Cincinnati Police Department, she felt she needed to continue her professional journey and joined the Legal Department of American Financial Group, Inc. as a Legal Department Administrator. She later became a Law Clerk for the Legal Department while attending law school.
MJ was admitted to the Ohio Bar in November 2001 and the Florida Bar in 2002.
Michael McCafferty
Michael P. McCafferty is a 2004 graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School. During law school, Michael clerked for the Nashville Public Defender’s Office, working on a wide variety of criminal defense cases. Michael also handled social security disability appeals for the Vanderbilt Legal Clinic.
At Vanderbilt, Michael received the Scholastic Excellence Award for his accomplishments in the area of Small Business Management as well as the Legal Service Award for his work in the Nashville legal community. Michael also earned a Certificate of Specialization in the Area of Law and Business from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
Michael was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, graduating from St. Xavier High School before moving on to Miami University. At Miami, Michael earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and received the Outstanding Greek Senior Award. Michael has been very active in the Cincinnati community, participating in the Big Brothers Program and other related philanthropic endeavors.
Michael was admitted to the Ohio Bar in November 2004, the Federal Bar for the Southern District of Ohio in February 2005, and the Kentucky Bar in May 2005. His practice focuses in the areas of small business advising, business litigation, collections, and domestic relations/family law matters.
